SEND

At Warton, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and inclusive school for all children. We strive to ensure that all children, including those identified to having a special educational need, access to a broad and balanced curriculum and are fully included in all aspects of school life including sporting events and extra curricular opportunities.
All children are planned and catered for within our curriculum with the SENCO helping to support staff when needed with the planning for specific needs. We work closely with our parents and outside agencies when needed to help support the children during their time at Warton. All children with SEND have an Individual Education Plan or an Individual Support Plan depending on their needs. Personalised targets for each child on the SEN register are written with the teacher in consultation with parents and the child themselves. These are then reviewed termly. Our support staff lead a wide range of 1-1 and small group interventions to support with IEP targets.
