On the first day of each term we celebrate, learn about and reflect on one of our Christian values. This term, our Values day was on thankfulness- really appropriate timing given how many elements of our school day are returning to ‘normal’ over the next few weeks and how thankful we are to be able to worship, play and eat together again. As part of our values day each class had a different theme, which can be found on the skills progression by clicking here. Nursery and Willow class will have two values days this term; one introducing our values and the core value of Love and a second introducing Thankfulness a few weeks into the term.
‘The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I give thanks to him in song.’
Psalm 28:7

As part of class collective worship in the first week of each term, our pupils write a prayer about the term’s value. We then take elements from each class’s prayer and create a whole school values prayer, which we use throughout our collective worships during the term. It is also a part of the worship box for each class. You can read this term’s prayer for thankfulness below.
